Lancaster County is getting ready for an afternoon of fun, flavor, and friendship. On Sunday, August 17, Lancaster Stands Up will host its 2nd Community Cookout at Pavilion #22 in Lancaster County Central Park and everyone is welcome.
The smell of freshly grilled favorites, the sounds of laughing, and the casual banter of summer will fill the park from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It's a casual afternoon meant for neighbors to unwind, socialize, and spend quality time together.
What to expect:
The cookout focuses on community. Guests are encouraged to bring a meal, a drink, or a game to share; the more variety, the better. Every donation, whether it's your signature pasta dish, a refreshing pitcher of lemonade, or a pair of cornhole boards, helps to create a friendly and energetic atmosphere.
This event isn’t about speeches or formalities, it’s about being present, sharing food, and making new friends. It’s a reminder that strong communities are built in simple ways: a shared meal, a friendly chat, and time spent together under the summer sky.
If you’ve never been to a Lancaster Stands Up event before, this is a great introduction. You’ll find friendly faces, open conversations, and a chance to learn more about how neighbors are working together to make Lancaster a place where everyone can thrive.
While you’re there…
As someone who loves helping people put down roots here in Lancaster, I’ll also be around to answer any questions about buying or selling a home. Whether you’re dreaming of your first place, looking for more space, or curious about the current market, I’m happy to chat while we enjoy the afternoon together.
So mark your calendar, grab your lawn chair, and join in. Whether you come for the food, the games, or the people, you’ll leave with a full belly and a fuller heart.
